INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cups 00 flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3 tbsp white rum
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
  • Icing sugar
  • Deep-frying oil (sunflower)

PREPARATION:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, eggs, egg yolks, rum, 1 tbsp sugar and salt
  2. Knead the mixture into a smooth ball of dough
  3. Let the ball of dough rest for approx. 30 minutes
  4. In a deep fry pan, heat the oil
  5. Roll out ¼ of the dough using a pasta machine
  6. Using a ravioli cutter, cut the sheet of dough into stripes and form bow’s
  7. Fry the bow’s 4-5 at a time until they are golden (repeat process with the rest of the dough)
  8. Place on scott-towel in order to remove access oil
  9. Sprinkle some icing sugar and serve
