INGREDIENTS:
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cups 00 flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 tbsp white rum
- 1/8 teaspoon of salt
- Icing sugar
- Deep-frying oil (sunflower)
PREPARATION:
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, eggs, egg yolks, rum, 1 tbsp sugar and salt
- Knead the mixture into a smooth ball of dough
- Let the ball of dough rest for approx. 30 minutes
- In a deep fry pan, heat the oil
- Roll out ¼ of the dough using a pasta machine
- Using a ravioli cutter, cut the sheet of dough into stripes and form bow’s
- Fry the bow’s 4-5 at a time until they are golden (repeat process with the rest of the dough)
- Place on scott-towel in order to remove access oil
- Sprinkle some icing sugar and serve
