INGREDIENTS:
- 4 Stefano’s Italian classic sausages (cut in 3 pieces) *
- 1 large white onion, diced
- 1 little peperoncini, according to our own taste
- 1/2 bulb of large fennel, diced
- 8oz of red wine
- 1 liter of Stefano arrabbiata sauce or basil sauce
- 4 tbsp of olive oil
PREPARATION:
- Heat the olive oil in a 24 cm saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the onion, peperoncini and fennel and turn up the heat.
- Once the onions are golden, add the sausages and cook until browned.
- Add the wine and cook until completely evaporated. Mix well.
- Add the tomato sauce and reduce the temperature to medium, continuing to cook uncovered for 20 minutes.
- Excellent with a delicious polenta.
Also delicious with pasta.
