INGREDIENTS:

  • 5 tbsp. Stefano’s olive oil
  • 2 whole garlic cloves, halved and degermed
  • 1 jar of Stefano’s tomato basil sauce or 1 liter of  homemade tomato sauce
  • 6-8 basil leaves
  • Salt

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a 24 cm Granit pan.
  2. Cook the garlic cloves until they are golden
  3. Add the tomato sauce and cook for 10-15 minutes
  4. Add the whole basil leaves
  5. Cook for 5 minutes
  6. Take the garlic pieces and crush them with a fork
  7. Return to the sauce and season with salt.

* Arrabiata sauce: add 1 tbsp of hot pepper oil

* Rosé sauce: add ½ cup of cream 35%
