INGREDIENTS:

  • 300 g hazelnuts
  • 6 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 packet of prepared yeast

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate egg yolks from egg whites and place in two separate bowls
  2. Beat egg whites with a hand blender until they form stiff peaks.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar.
  5. Add butter and yeast.  Mix well.  Set aside.
  6. Finely chop hazelnuts using a food processor.
  7. Add chopped hazelnuts to the egg yolk mixture.
  8. Fold in egg whites.  Pour mixture in a greased cake pan.
  9. Cook 30 to 40 minutes in a 350°F oven.
  10. Cool before serving
  11. Serve with a cream made of mascarpone cheese.
