INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 calzone dough recipe
  • 200 gr of fresh ricotta
  • 150 gr of ham
  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup of parmesan
  • Salt and pepper

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat the oven at 400F
  2. Cut the ham in small dice
  3. Mix all ingredients
  4. Spread the dough and cut into small circles
  5. Place a portion of the mixture in the center and fold the dough in a semicircle
  6. Press edges to seal the calzones
  7. Brush with egg white
  8. Bake 20 minutes in the oven

*Calzones can be frozen. Bake for only 10 minutes, cool on a rack and then freeze. Place frozen calzones on a parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 400F oven for 10 minutes.
