INGREDIENTS:
- 5 egg yolks (large)
- 5oz. sugar
- 5oz. vegetable oil
- 5oz. of milk
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons baking powder (Magic Baking Powder)
- 3 cups of flour
- Zest of two lemons
PREPARATION:
- Mix flour, baking powder and lemon zest.
- In a separate bowl, combine eggs, sugar, milk, oil and lemon juice.
- Add the flour mixture and stir.
- Flour a work area and pour the mixture over it.
- Knead and add a little flour until the consistency is smooth.
- With oiled hands, cut the pieces all the way like little finger (approx 3.5 inches long)
- Shape each piece as a coiled snake.
- Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a cookie rack.
GLAZE:
Ingredients:
- 400g icing sugar
- Juice of 1 ½ lemon (approx 3 tablespoons)
PREPARATION:
- Mix to the desired consistency.
- Dip the top of each cookie in the frosting and put on the rack.
