INGREDIENTS:

  • 5 egg yolks (large)
  • 5oz. sugar
  • 5oz. vegetable oil
  • 5oz. of milk
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder (Magic Baking Powder)
  • 3 cups of flour
  • Zest of two lemons

PREPARATION:

  1. Mix flour, baking powder and lemon zest.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, sugar, milk, oil and lemon juice.
  3. Add the flour mixture and stir.
  4. Flour a work area and pour the mixture over it.
  5. Knead and add a little flour until the consistency is smooth.
  6. With oiled hands, cut the pieces all the way like little finger (approx 3.5 inches long)
  7. Shape each piece as a coiled snake.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a cookie rack.

GLAZE:

Ingredients:

  • 400g icing sugar
  • Juice of 1 ½ lemon (approx 3 tablespoons) 

PREPARATION:

  1. Mix to the desired consistency.
  2. Dip the top of each cookie in the frosting and put on the rack.
