INGREDIENTS:
- 2 lbs. Italian bush beans (Marconi)
- 420 mL of Stefano’s sauce, tomato basil or arrabbiata
- 3 tbsp. Stefano’s olive oil
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 3 sprigs of parsley (chopped)
- Salt and pepper
PREPARATION:
- Remove ends of green beans and wash them.
- It is important to keep them in cold water.
- In a saucepan, heat oil and butter together.
- Add onion and cook until fully caramelized.
- Add tomato sauce and simmer for a few minutes.
- Finally, add green beans and season the whole mixture with salt and pepper.
- Simmer the whole mixture with cover until the green beans are tender. About 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley over sauce and serve with cavatelli.
